Telling Veterans' Stories

OVERVIEW

One of the most consistently highly-rated veterans charities, Semper Fi & America's Fund provides thousands of critically ill, wounded or injured veterans, service members and their families with personalized service and support.

OBJECTIVE

Semper Fi & America’s Fund engaged Pinkston to raise awareness of the challenges critically wounded veterans face in adjusting to life after their service, and to increase support for the Fund’s work to support those veterans and their families.

PINKSTON'S APPROACH

Pinkston’s approach has centered around personal stories that highlight the Fund’s unique, one-on-one approach to supporting injured veterans, and its tremendous impact in providing lifelong support for heroes and their families.

Overall, Pinkston has generated more than 100 news stories for the Fund across local, regional and national outlets, including multiple stories on NBC’s “Today” show, several top-rated daytime programs on Fox News Channel, and coverage on popular news websites including Yahoo! News, MSN, CBS News Online and more. This coverage has resulted in nearly $12.5 million in ad value equivalency.

This work has had a direct impact on the Fund’s development, introducing the brand into more than a dozen states where it previously had limited engagement. In one recent fundraising campaign, media coverage contributed to the Fund exceeding its $10 million fundraising goal by more than 30%.
