Overview

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute — the sole nonprofit created by President Reagan charged with continuing his legacy and sharing his principles — engaged Pinkston to create an integrated communications strategy for the Reagan National Defense Forum. The event attracts a large bipartisan group of prominent lawmakers, industry innovators and thought leaders.

Pinkston's Approach

Pinkston worked to attract and coordinate extensive national and trade media coverage for the event, providing extensive logistics, branding and communication support along the way. This included partnering with event planners to shape panel lineups, develop on-site media partnerships, facilitate VIP interviews and more. We leveraged high profile attendees and moderators to achieve maximum coverage, and to fuel the creation of paid and organic digital content which drove further engagement with sponsors and attendees.

Results

Pinkston helped transform the conference from one sparsely attended to one of the hottest tickets in the defense and national security industry. Pinkston's efforts at RNDF 2021 resulted in more than 130 media RSVPs from outlets including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Fox News Channel, C-SPAN, CNBC and CNN, among others. This resulted in 44 pieces of print coverage, 22 national television segments, dozens of regional television mentions across the country and 12 national newsletter hits.
