As an account executive, Kellie specializes in media relations by coordinating and scheduling opportunities for her clients to share their expertise and stories through TV, radio, and podcast interviews. She has worked with clients in tech, education, policy, faith-based, and entertainment industries.
Kellie’s passion is to help organizations tell their stories. She works with her teammates to create an overall communication strategy, messaging, and implement national and local campaigns. She has developed relationships with producers and reporters to coordinated media opportunities with Fox News, Fox Business, the Washington Post, Politico, Wall Street Journal, as well as national and local radio shows, podcasts, and more.
Prior to joining Pinkston, Kellie worked as an Executive Assistant for a small faith-based non-profit and a large trade association. In these positions, she gained experience in event planning, social media strategy, editing, and schedule management. Realizing she enjoyed helping create messaging for these organizations, she decided to go back to school for public relations.
Kellie graduated from American University with a Master’s in strategic communications. For undergrad, she attended Radford University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in media studies, focusing on journalism, with a minor in communications.
