Position Summary

Pinkston’s Graphic Designer is responsible for translating customer requirements into a wide variety of visually appealing products. These products vary in complexity of design and production and may include: high-quality designed environmental exhibits, posters, brochures, publications, infographics, branding, digitally-generated portraits, digital signage, original artwork, briefing presentations, and interactive PDFs. The Graphic Designer should be capable of providing reliable, accurate, state-of-the-art multimedia support essential to ensuring that all customers are able to communicate mission, goals and objectives most effectively.

  • Work Location: Falls Church, Virginia

  • Travel: May require travel to attend meetings, conferences, and training across the country

Role Responsibilities

  • Supports graphic design for a team in partnership with a senior graphic designer

  • Creates simple/standard graphics used in websites, videos, social media, and specific commercial or promotional needs, such as displays or logos, with a focus on aesthetics and design

  • Develops conceptual design and layouts, providing publication designs and furnishing custom or stock artwork (including electronic artwork)

  • Organizes and develops graphics for social media plans and campaigns

  • Ensures enterprise-wide content is consistent across all client websites

  • Coordinates with the client to design or redesign products that may be more complex

  • Confirm all developed graphics and other products as appropriate are uploaded and retained for records management purposes

  • Conduct basic digital press and large format printing functions, as well as print production and binding equipment.

Skills & Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Interactive Design, Mass Communication or Marketing

  • Two years of corporate identity design systems experience

  • Highly skilled in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop


  • One year of relevant customer service experience

  • One year of managing projects simultaneously

  • Experience producing a video from graphics

  • Familiarity with creating moving images that tell stories or provide information.

  • Manage several projects at once, using industry-standard tools and platforms (e.g. Adobe and Apple hardware)

  • Communicate effectively and directly with customers, coworkers, and senior leadership
